Daily Outfit #001

What I wore to work the day before. The 'top' was actually a pretty jumpsuit, but sadly, it is no longer as such. I cut the bottom off because my humongous hips couldn't fit.

They're 37" and I think old Chinese grandparents-in-law would probably like it because there's this superstition that huge hips = more kids.

Yiruma - River Flows In You

This was the piece I used for my Fashion Design grad show two years back.

It was composed by Yiruma, a south korean pianist + composer.
Please enjoy this piece by him, "River Flows in You".

It's a very special piece to me as it marks the beginning of my relationship with CJ, and that's also why I dedicated this song to him during my grad show. :)

Jessica Stam

Jessica S
Those who used to follow me before I revamped this site might have seen this before. I did this piece in 2009 during the days when I was still working for Wacom Singapore.

I vividly remember this piece because this really cool guy came up to me when I was about to give up on the crimped hair texture and told me to push on. It was totally random yet so cool of him to do so.

Therefore, THANK YOU mystery dude.

I Still Don't Know Who You Are But... Still, Thanks. :)

Updates + Wacom Contest

Okay. I am going to have to put aside my Bong QQ project as I have to focus on 2 projects. I can't reveal the first one, but the second one is Wacom's 4th Anime/Manga Contest!
Please join in the fun if you love to draw! The theme this time round is to create your "Original Monster". (:

P.S.
The worst part is... both the projects have the same dateline more or less.

The Grand Prize From The Wacom Contest Is An Intuous 4 (Large) - $799.

Did up a quick sketch last night.

Am doing a piece for Qiu Ting and I'm trying to squeeze in as much practice as I can before I start on her. I'm trying to find my own style in the process and seeking to improve my skills as an illustrator.

I have always been rather conservative with my choice of colours, preferring to stick with neutral tones, but I realise that my images doesn't 'pop-out' as much. It's usually flat and I also want to take this chance to be bolder, because my subject (BQQ) has a dynamic personality and I want to portray that side of her.

First Try At Using Blue Tones In Skin.

Wow. It's been so long since I've last updated. June? Seriously? Anyway, I am really inspired by this illustrator + digital painter, Viet-My Bui. I especially like this piece with the bold psychedelic colours.

Go check her out at her tumblr page HERE

I've started a new sketchbook, and it's high time I do some research on that anatomy and lighting.

Do You Know Blue Works Great On Skin Tones?
