I received my book!

Cover: guess my theme
The rule sheet + Library card
Artist info + barcode

Mum told me that a parcel had arrived for me yesterday so I thought it's either the shoes I've ordered or my TSP (TheSketchbookProject) book which gets me equally excited!

I called Val out at 9pm to show her as she has yet to receive hers. No idea why I received mine before her, taking in that she registered before I did. Anyway I'm having a massive brain overload right now. There's so much thoughts swimming around in my head, and I can't decide what to do for this!

I could have chosen 'Coffee & Cigarettes' but I didn't. I let the system choose something for me and ended up with: HELP! :) Stay tuned for this project!

You can track my progress here as well, on Art House Co-op.
That's my profile page which is also printed on the barcode tag.

The Sketchbook Project: 2011

The Sketchbook Project: 2011

I've just signed up for 'THE SKETCHBOOK PROJECT: 2011" from Art House Co-op.

Val introduced me to this project when she was over at my place last week and got me to join. I love the idea of starting / doing a project together with friends, it's so fun and exciting! Don't you think so?

The best part about this Sketchbook Project is that it will be on tour from March 2011! Plus there will be a bar code tagged to each Artist's sketchbook and you will get notifications once someone picks it up and opens it. (((:

I can imagine us sitting at Starbucks like old times, doodling, gossiping, and bouncing ideas off each other. To me, that's the best part of projects, the people and process. I hope I won't kill myself in the process, seeing that I have 2 projects running concurrently and I'm taking up this one.  :P

Some Rules I Like:
  • Your book must remain within the dimensions of 5.5 x 8.5 inches. It can open up to something wonderful (of any size), but it must fold down to the original dimensions.
  • You are welcome to unbind, rebind or alter the book in (almost) any other way. If you want to use a thicker stock of paper, go for it!
  • Your barcode must remain in place on the book - no moving or covering it. An altered or unreadable label means we have to disqualify you from the tour.
  • You are free to alter, design, and work on the cover of the sketchbook! In fact, it is encouraged not to leave the covers blank.

If you're an aspiring/ budding/ 'lao jiao'/experienced artist and need inspiration for new artworks, please don't hesitate to join. It would be best if you're doing it with a friend, very fun. (: Meanwhile, I've just received my email from Art House Co-op that they've shipped my sketchbook out to me.

SO FREAKING EXCITED!

You have 27 days left to sign up!
